Undergraduate (UG) recruitment during clearing

RESULTS:
In a declining market applications went up

As many people in HE will be aware, Clearing ain’t what it used to be! Many prospective students now simply leave their choice of university until Clearing whilst others use it as an opportunity to change their mind.

We needed to offer the reassurance that a Clearing place is not a compromise and to convince others to consider Southampton for the first time. The ads needed to communicate the brand essence of Southampton, identified in recent UG brand work we conducted for the University.

The animations ran on a range of digital outdoor. On Clearing Day they changed to feature live twitter feeds of the responses of people as they were accepted.
